My research interests include scientific and probabilistic ML, sequential decision-making under uncertainty, Bayesian optimization, and generative modeling. In particular, I am interested in the intersection of these methods with regard to applications within scientific and societal domains. Critical examples include accelerating discovery campaigns (i.e., materials, medicines, etc.) and engineering design (i.e., model and simulation tuning, principled experiment design, etc.).
